Art, is it exists today? And if it does, what forms it has? What is it - art today ? What social and cultural functions are connected with art today?

These reflections are addressed not to an audience of the art critics. I address to the managers of a different levels, curators and designers.

How to recognise and to choose that cultural contents, which one is actual today, be, how can we work with it?

In science the problem of scientific and unscientific knowledge, and its verification, already gives rather important intellectual foetuses, and the art multiply changed for the same time and representing something quite different from what it was hundred years ago, is still under wardship of art critics with a methodology formed two hundred years ago.

The art can takes intellectual know-hows, and change them in technologies of the art expressions.

Created for the public communications, i.e. for mass consciousness the artefacts, become adapted, simplified.

Is this strategy that is not very skilful adapting composite intellectual systems to a level of the primitive scheme, a social value?

The art takes, simplifies and imitates political strategies and modelling, exploratory scientific projects, manufacturing technologies etc. And representative space today is only one for all the forms of social-cultural exchange, it is a media space.

The most radical directions in the art are in a situation of social marginalia, and there are some objective reasons for it. The only exception is the perfomative intellectual discourse in a situation of media space.

But performative of electronic information systems gives the limitation - visualisation takes place on a screen, or is played back in a system through the visualisation on the same screen.

In all arsenal of the forms of visualisation (in the wide public context) there is only one which can dominate - the screen.

Who becomes the artist, what the society wait from him, for what it pays him money? For cultural transformation of this screen, for design?

The value of authoring, subjective video-object in the area of cultural designing reality is indispensable. Its the only way for us not to degrade to a level of the primitive societies.

We need a radical authoring, subjective method for work out the media art in any area of cultural design.
