About access to information resources on cultural heritage
on the protocol Z39.50.

In the report the possibility of application of the software Z39.50, developed in United Institute of Geology, Geophysics and Mineralogy of SB RAS, for organisation of access to information resources on cultural heritage is considered according to the international profile CIMI (Computer Interchange of Museum Information) on the protocol Z39.50. The current state of this software allows to organise distributed information systems, using both server software (ZooPARK), and client (gateway server of Z39.50-WWW). The information systems organised on the basis of servers ZooPARK, do not depend on concrete systems of data storage and answer all requirements CIMI, obey to all requirements CIMI, and, therefore, can be integrated with other similar systems, including global.
