The paper is devoted to the choice of software for the development of multimedia production that is realised on CD ROM and kiosk systems. The questions of the right choice of the technical and software tools are considered there. Among the objects of this paper there are also the question of the right choice of the technological methods corresponded to the content. The content may be represented as the CD ROM, kiosk systems or as the publication in Internet.

The technologies of the multimedia projects designing and development are considered there. The questions of planning estimation of the project and preparation of the content in the multimedia form (video, sound, pictures, text, multimedia effects) with the use of hardware and software tools are considered in the paper. Besides that the paper is also devoted to the development of structure of the future project, the graphic design of the project, assembling of the application which is made using corresponded software.
