Raphael Loggias in the Hermitage
Developed by: The State Hermitage, St Petersburg
Years of creation: 2000
Language: Russian
Description:
This is a non-interactive version intended for the use in the Hermitage
exhibition rooms.
The program presents Raphael Loggias, a superb interior of the Hermitage Museum. It is of
a great cognitive value. Fifty two themes (so called Raphael's Bible) enable to
arrange in chronological order many events of Biblical history from the Creation to the
Resurrection of Christ. It is no less interesting to know about both the creation of the
Loggias and the group of images of Classical art that are represented in grotesque
ornamentation of the walls.
The program contains more complex elements, such as three-dimensional objects and
flash-animation.
Now Hermitage specialists are developing an interactive version of the program for CD-Rom
and for the Education Centre.
The following specialists from the Hermitage Museum were engaged in the work on the
program:
general leadership by the Director Mikhail Piotrovsky and the Head of the School Centre
Irina Kureyeva
