The course is devoted to the most popular of the Hermitage rooms.
The unique interiors of the New Hermitage are of great educational potential.
This gallery is an embodiment of Leo von Klenze's (architect of the building of the New Hermitage) excellent idea to revive the works by ancient Greece and Rome artists, which had not survived. Based on 86 pictures from the Gallery, this program creates a time bridge between the art of the ancient times and 19th and 20th-century art.
Intended for school children, the program contains many texts. It is set up in the Education Centre. There is also a non-interactive version that is available for the user in the Hermitage exhibition rooms.
