Description:
The course Ancient Subjects in Western European art of the 16th-20th
Centuries from the Collection of the State Hermitage is specially intended for
children from the age of 10. The participation of students of the Computer Centre in the
development of the program structure, including design and contents, allowed to create a
product that could be easily perceived by children.
The course presents the ancient artists whose works inspired Western European artists.
Besides paintings, the program contains pieces of applied art.
The product is available for the user in the Hermitage Education Centre.
The program was developed jointly by the State Hermitage Museum, St Petersburg, and IBM
Education Centre, Moscow. The following specialists from the Hermitage Museum were engaged
in the work on the program:
The design and computer program were developed by specialists of the IBM Education Centre.
