          This site (www.shukshin.museum.ru) presents the most complete information on a gifted Russian writer, actor, film director Vasily Shukshin, his life and main milestones of his creative way. The amateurs of his creativity can learn many new and interesting about Vasily Makarovich's "small motherland", make a virtual trip around Srostki village and memory places connected with the name of Shukshin, get acquainted with museum funds, read some of his works, know about the museum events coming up and order books relating Shukshin's life and creativity. The site also invites you to take part at the unique events in Russian cultural life - the annual Shukshin's Birthday Celebrations which are visited by famous writers, actors, artists, musicians and many other people. All information is presented both in Russian and English. This system exists since 1997 as a result of co-operation between Biysk Technological Institute and All-Russian V.M. Shukshin State Memorial. The site works on the basis of a computer Pentium II of Free BSD operation system and Web-server Apache.
