Main functions of the software
1. Creation and maintenance of electronic catalogues.
Input, storage and editing of electronic catalogue information

The system supports the data search in the electronic catalogue by any set of search elements. Apart from the simple search interface there is a complex search option.
3. Library technology support.
Automatic generation of a full set of catalogue cards. The delivery package includes standard documents.
4. Reader service.
Generation of electronic requests for documents and recording their performance.
5. Creation of electronic catalogues in local area networks of organisations.
Installation of electronic catalogues on servers of PC networks and concurrent
information access by multiple users.
The data update process does not interfere with the reader access to catalogues.
6. Creation of new dictionaries, indices and directories and the use of the existing ones.
7. Full compatibility with USMARC and RUSMARC formats.
8. Access to digital copies of documents.
Access to full texts, graphic data and other external objects (including Internet resources).
9. Facilities to support output documents in Word and HTML formats.

The software for the maintenance of the electronic catalogue was created in Visual
Objects, a development of Clipper. The database used - dbf files. Operates in file-server
mode.
Internet application is designed with the use of Java, operates in client-server mode.
